Product Developer

What will you be doing?

You will work closely with colleagues from design, engineering, sourcing and production on new products and the maintenance of our collection. You will ensure that everything is up to date, complies with laws and regulations and maintains our quality standards.

You will also develop additions to our indoor and outdoor collections, ranging from lighting to furniture. Once a concept has been approved, you will take charge of its implementation: you will dive into the details, liaise with suppliers and supervise the process through to production.

You will switch between creativity and technical reality on a daily basis. You have a broad knowledge of materials and production techniques — from injection moulding and metalworking to upholstery, and from detailed lighting assemblies to scalable furniture products — which you will use to help take our collection to the next level in terms of technical creativity.

In a nutshell:

• New product developments and maintaining the existing collection

• Updating products to meet quality requirements and legislation

• Technical development of indoor and outdoor collections for quality, sustainability and efficiency.

• Developing concepts into manufacturable products in collaboration with suppliers.

• Ensuring consistency in packaging, manuals, labels and compliance documents and keeping these up to date.

• Experience in developing high-quality consumer products;

• Technical insight and an innovative, solution-oriented mindset;

• An affinity with design and translating creative ideas into manufacturable products;

• Familiarity with production processes in Europe and Asia;

• A structured and independent way of working;

• Team spirit and the courage to share ideas and ask questions;

• Interest in product optimisation and quality/compliance;

• Willingness to travel to Asia once or twice a year;

• Good command of English (Dutch is an advantage).
